Background on the video:

I was hired to teach a 12 week after school filmmaking program for 1st-5th graders at Rio Vista Elementary. I used a team-based, collaborative hands-on approach to teach the fundamentals of filmmaking and animation.  Our goal was to get accepted into the Palm Springs Unified School District film festival, DigiCom.  We won “Best of the Fest”. We also won the Audience Choice Award and Best Animation at the Palm Springs Student Short Film Festival.
